Anger Management Counselling

If anger has started showing up in ways that surprise or worry you — flaring up faster than you'd like, lingering longer than it should, or affecting the people you care about — that's not a character flaw. It's usually a sign that something underneath needs attention, and it's entirely possible to work with it.

What this can look like

Snapping at people you love and regretting it afterwards. A short fuse that's started affecting your work or relationships. Anger that feels disproportionate to what triggered it, or that you can't quite explain even to yourself. Sometimes it's the most visible layer over something else entirely — anxiety, grief, or old patterns that never got a proper outlet.

How I can help

We'll look at what's actually driving the anger, not just the moments it shows up — often it's protecting something more vulnerable underneath. Alongside that, we build practical tools for the moments it flares, so you're not just waiting for the next one to pass but genuinely changing your relationship to it.

Does this mean something is "wrong" with me?

No. Anger is a normal emotion — it's usually a signal, not a flaw. The goal isn't to suppress it, but to understand what it's telling you and respond differently.

Is this only for people with "anger issues," or can it help with occasional outbursts too?

Either. You don't need a pattern of major incidents for this to be worth exploring — if anger's affecting your life or relationships even occasionally, it's a valid reason to come in.

3

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes! Alongside face-to-face sessions in Chiswick, I work with clients online across the UK and beyond, in English or Italian.

4

I was referred through my insurance/EAP — does that change how we work?

Not really — sessions work the same way regardless of how you found me, though I'm happy to talk through anything specific your provider has outlined.
